Sleeping Babies are Beautiful

Laura's school is apparently participating in the Google logo contest.  She came home one night and said that she had to come up with a drawing for the logo, and she needed to do it that night!  So she and her Daddy looked at some things other people had done to give her an idea of what she could do, we all brainstormed a little while, I got her out some crayons and a bunch of books to reference pictures from and she spent all evening working on this project.  The next morning I find out, she really had a week to complete it, she just wanted to finish it up quickly.  Arg!  

Below is the design she ended up likeing the best.  It is a bunch of insects taken out of an identification book.  I think she did a good job. 

Muff's an Ewok

Laura made a hat for Alli's dog, muff, this afternoon. He is the scarer away of bad dreams every night and really deserves a warm head. I like it because it makes him look like an ewok :-)

Brown Belt!

Laura passed her test for Brown Belt in karate on Saturday. We are very proud. This puts her in a more difficult class.
