Laura Sparring

Laura is testing for her Brown Belt in Karate this weekend and had some preliminary testing today. This is a video of her sparring with another little girl in karate.

Fashion Girl

So Alli was very insistent on which clothes to wear today and got me to put her hair up for her. Then she checks herself out in the mirror and likes it so much she starts strutting around saying, "I'm a fashion girl, oh yeah, I'm a fashion girl"

Faster Than Light

Alli was trying to show how fast her Cheetah Leopard was and told us he was faster than light...tee hee, I love that at 3 years old she knows light is fast :-)

Baby Jacket

It was cold today so Charlie donned her courderoy jacket and bonnet. Laura and Alli were very amazed to find out that this jacket had not only been theirs before it was Charlie's, but that it was also their Granny's when she was a baby 53 years ago. And that Namaw had made it for her.

Scrap Blankets

Alli decided that her stuffed animals needed blankets, and so created these out of our fabric scraps.

Mittens

We had a cold snap here so I bundled Laura up for school including putting on a pair of mittens. Then after getting Laura out the door it was time to get Alli ready, she of course decides that she also needs mittens. And in all fairness, it was really cold outside and mittens were a good idea. But alas, we do not have a pair mittens that are her size. What to do? Sew a pair of course. Alli and I fashioned a pair of mittens and matching scarf out of some fabric scraps and still got her to school on time :)
