This is what Alli told me today when we she saw the trash collector get our plastics to recycle.  She says, "That is good that he's taking that.  We should keep our earth clean.  Reuse, Recycle, Relax"

Easter

First Tooth and Crawling!

Charlie cut her first tooth yesterday.  Today she is crawling!  It's still the on her belly scooty kinda crawl, but it was definately crawling.  There was an easter egg she wanted and she made it to it.  Easter eggs make great crawling teasers, because she'd get close enough to grab at it, but it being rounded would slip right from her grasp and roll a few inches every time she got close so she'd have to go further, until she trapped it against a chair.  Then she grabbed it, rolled over to her back, and played with it happily for a while.

Alli's first Ballet Lesson

Alli had her first ballet lesson today. She was sooooo excited. Here is a picture of her getting ready to go, holding a flower she picked to take to her teacher. She really seemed to enjoy it and had no trouble staying without me in the room with her. While she was in ballet I ran Laura across the street to her school where she had an audition for a talent show they are putting on. Then back to pick up Alli.

We have shovels!

Laura and Alli got new shovels and finally got to use them today. All we did was work up the ground a bit, but that was enough. We found several earth worms which the kids thought was pretty cool, and at one point Alli runs up to me all worried and tells me that a rolly poly fell into one of her holes and we must save it! We couldn't find it so we decided to stop digging at that point lest we accidentally hurt him and surely he would find a way out on his own if left alone.
